Former Stanford lacrosse standout Andy Brooks oversees the development of the Surf Dawgs at the critical beginning stages. Coach Brooks played high school lacrosse in Fairfax, Virginia. He went on to play football and lacrosse at Stanford University, where he was a starting defenseman on the cardinal team which won the 1983 West Coast Championship.

In addition to his work with the Dawgs, Coach Brooks coaches youth basketball and baseball in the Newport Beach area.

Andy and his wife Allyson have three sons in the Surf Dawg program: Bobby (7-8), Tommy (5-6) and Ben (2-4).
