Fall Beginner Clinic Series
This Clinic Series is appropriate for all new players that have participated in any or all of our 2018 Summer Clinics or Training Camps and has not participated in or completed one full youth rec lacrosse season.

Beginners Grades 2-8 will get an introduction to lacrosse in a series of fun sessions that will build on what was taught the session before.  Players will be separated into groups based on size and grade.  They will be shown proper fundamentals and taught the basic mechanics of scooping ground balls, cradling, throwing, catching, dodging and shooting.  If your son is interested in playing lacrosse in the main youth lacrosse season, which is from December through early March, he must complete a minimum of one Surf Dawg Fall Clinic Session. We encourage players to make every effort to attend all 4 sessions to help build a strong foundation and begin learning basic drills and concepts we will teach in the upcoming season.

Loaner equipment (helmet, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves) is available on a first come, first serve basis. Beginners should bring their own lacrosse stick if possible, however, we do have sticks to loan.  Players should have a molded mouthpiece to wear during practice, water/gatorade for breaks, along with lacrosse/soccer/football cleats.  Please, no sneakers/tennis shoes.  A protective cup is also recommended.
